Dr. Colin Barron — VT Practitioner

I was born in Greenock in Scotland in 1956 and graduated in Medicine from Glasgow University in 1979. My father, Dr. Peter Barron, was a General Practitioner in Greenock and was one of the first GPs in Scotland to use hypnosis.

I, too, was always interested in hypnosis and in the 1990s I took several courses in hypnosis. These included the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced courses with the British Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis (Scotland) and a Diploma with Distinction in Ericksonian Hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Cognitive Psychotherapy with the British Society of Clinical and Medical Ericksonian Hypnosis. I am also trained in NLP.

In recent years I have trained to Algorithm and Diagnostic TFT practitioner standard and in 2001 I became the first person in Europe to qualify as a Voice Technology (VT) TFT Practitioner.
